Description

Welcome to Little Green Tara or Tiny House
This “tiny house for 2” is the perfect hideaway on our favorite island: bathing at sunrise on the small beach just a few steps away, sitting on the small terrace for breakfast while the wind rustles through the palm trees. Then fly’s surfboard, bath towel or kiteboard grabbed and head out into the water. After a wonderful day, a rum lunch as an aperitif and the catch of the day at the Surfers Bay Restaurant in the neighborhood. We love it. And I’m sure you too!

The Space

The simple, small wooden house – called Little Green Tara (after the Indian deity) – is perfectly located: the sea in view and beaches for relaxing and water sports in walking distance. The house is lovingly furnished, because we also want to feel comfortable there. Pretty details are the built-in wooden shelves, the old Barbados photographs, the beautiful pillows on the daybeds and our Buddha watching over everyone in Little Green Tara. We love this house because it’s something special and not a standard apartment like so many others.
From the sitting area in the lower room you can look at the sea as well as from the newly built chill corner next to the house, which is shady, elevated and roofed – seduction to hours of dreaming, reading, hanging guaranteed!
The house has everything you need: toaster, TV (with Netflix and Apple TV), smoothie maker, coffee maker, good WiFi, hammock, even a longboard for rent and enough storage space for your water sports equipment.
Mosquito nets are attached to all windows, but honestly: mosquitoes are part of Caribbean life, unless you want to live in fully air-conditioned rooms with closed windows – we love the cooling sea breeze in the evening and use the air conditioning up only on particularly warm nights (as in July/August).
A small shop for basic equipment (milk, bread, beer, etc.) can be reached in 10 minutes on foot, THE SURFERS BAY Restaurant and the bar are around the corner. There are the best rum punches on the island (try Bay Punch – this is Steve’s specialty) and the burger or Catch of the Day are also recommended. Once or twice a week really good bands play here, otherwise it is always very quiet, as the house is at the end of a dead end
Guest Access
For those who like it comfortable, we recommend renting a car. The car can be parked a few meters around the corner.
Otherwise, the connection with the mini buses is great. At the top of the church (7 minutes on foot), the dollar taxi runs (because the ride usually does not cost more than one dollar). Simply signify with hand signals that you want to go along. You can also stop and get off at any time.
The home is not suitable for people with physical disabilities (such as walking disabilities) as the stairs up are relatively steep and without railings. Even very obese people could have trouble with the stairs. The bed is a queen size bed.
